If you had one wish what would it be? Would you just think of yourself and wish for personal gain, or would you wish for something that helps others.
When given the chance to make a difference, when push comes to shove what would you wish to change in this world?

I believe that our wishes must begin with ourselves....not necessarily for monetary, or physical things, but to be whole and balanced inside. Only then, when we understand that we (as one person) can change, can we begin to even minutely understand what it is that we are seeking. Once that is accomplished (somewhat) can we encompass a wish for the world, or even for the Universe.

My first thought after I read this thread was wishing for my own freedom. But how can I wish for something that I already have...I only need to awaken to it and walk in my freedom.
Then I thought maybe I would wish for no one to be homeless, because homeless people literally lack walls to block out all the negative energy coming at them. Maybe if they had physical walls, they could form internal walls to block out the negative energy and be able to heal themselves. And because everyone would have a home, people wouldn't have as much of a scarcity mentality because they wouldn't see homeless people in the streets anymore. Then from that, people wouldn't develop a fear of being homeless, so that way they would pursue the things they love without shame or fear. That would result in happier people with happier homes.
So that would be my wish.

i agree with JennyLynn that is must start with ourselves. if we cannot help ourselves we cannot help another. the airline stewardess says "put your own oxygen mask on first." my greatest wish is that i could become the person i have the enlightenment to realize i can be. i have had so much trial and tribulation. i know full well that Pharaoh is always punished and that being humble is not humiliation but rather a situation under the guardianship of domain angels. so i strive to be meek and forgive everything and love unconditionally. i am plauged by temptation to be powerful and controlling. to make people be polite and pay me the proper respects. i fully understand the folly of this lifestyle but there must be something inside of me that desires this. i need to attain selflessness. i am in process of spending three days a week in a Buddhist temple. i so want to become what i know i can and should be. i would appreciate any prayer, reiki or healing anybody can do for me.

If i had one wish it would be that man would grow up and realise that God is a myth we could then drop religion which is the mainstay of our petty diferences and then we could truly start to work together and live in peace and harmony.

Sadly the people you talk about Gabriel grew up to be communists. You only have to look at the countries that follow no belief in God, to see how grey the world becomes. Do you really think that taking God out of the equation will help matters. It is not God who is at fault for the problems of life. It is man who divides brother from brother. It is not God.

If I had one wish it would be that there would be no wars, no starving people and we would all share what we had.
