Spiritual friends

Hi, just joined and thought I'd check out the chat room, which was my first time ever, but nobody seemed to want to chat! I'm really looking for spiritual friends in the South East. I live in Watford in Herts, and would dearly love to find like-minded people, who are possibly lonely like me. I am experiencing the worst emotional pain I've ever felt in my life, after a relationship break-up with my boyfriend, just over 2 weeks ago. I'm trying so hard to accept it and to move on, searching for websites like this one, as well as joining my local spiritualist church, to try and get some support, to reinstall my belief that life really is worth living. I know that once I'm over this I'll be back to normal (ish) which is loving to have a good laugh, but if there's anybody out there who can help I'd appreciate it very much.

I am Bud and I live in Upper Michigan (Great Lakes area) of the USA. Relationships end, but our journey continues. The heart mends and we carry on. The chatroom is a nice place, but it's just picking the right time and meeting the right people at random times. I too have found it to be empty at times, while other times filled with wonderful people. Don't give up, and keep on exploring spirituality. I'm sure you'll run into people who will guide you. Hi Jacqueline,
I have joined today, now seeing your post. It way over an year you made that post and I am not sure of your current frame of mind or if u are still on his site.

I have had horrible experiences with relationships as well, however, all things work together for good. Only God knows why that individual was removed from your life. Sometimes people in our lifes are stumbling blocks and they need to go before God can shower us with our blessings. Some of them we get rid of them and God takes care of the rest, like an boyfriend or eeven an friend. In Phillipians 4.13 says we can do al things through Christs that strenthens us.

hello to everbody im netty from phil. so very far yet wanting to have good friends like you all. sometimes i ask my self my i am born? whats the purpose? im now 50 but i envy those of my age who are happy they live to the fulliest thats why i ask myself god has favorites . i wish before i die god will like me too lets be friend

Welcome to the Godlight. Im sorry you feel so discouraged. You'll find a lot of people in here have at one point or another. Hopefully, that makes you feel a little less lonely to know that ther are others feeling what you feel and going throug what you are going through. I wish I could give you a hug right now. Just know that there are people out there who care for you even if you dont realize it now. And most importantly, God loves you. Sometimes it feels like even God has abandoned you, but he has not. The main thing is to keep trying and not lose hope. I know this was a few days ago, and I hope you are feeling a little better now. If any time you need to talk, you can come into the chat room. There are lots of people who want to be of help. I hope to see you soon on the forum or in chat.

Hi Netty,

It is lovely to meet you. You sound like a really nice and friendly person. I know sometimes we all go through phases when life seems to lose its sparkle. We feel alone and isolated. But I am sure you do have people around you that care very much about you. It is simply that you are in a low place at the moment and can't see it.

I don't believe God has any favourites. He loves us all equally. You may not be aware of his presence in your life. But trust me he is there. Holding you and loving you. I know its difficult, but life is very much about ups and downs. Low as you are feeling right now. It will change and swing upward again. Just try to focus more on the good things. They are there!

When we feel despondent the whole world can seem grey. But it really isn't. For one day try to be aware of all the good things. Simple acts of kindness. The beauty of a sunset, listen to the birds singing and appreciate the beauty of nature. I believe our thoughts very much influence the way we see the world. Change your thoughts and see your world change!

We are a very friendly group here. Lots of nice people to exchange idea's and views with. As Leon and Clara have said, we have a chat room too. Pop in sometime and say hello. I will watch out for you.
