So I woke up today. A natural thing to do. Upon waking a dream I had came rushing from the depths of my subconscious into my conscious mind.
It was daylight. I had parked myself on the sidewalk of a desolate city street, ducking between a car and a building. I had to hide in fact, because I was listening to a CD player (conveniently plugged into the socket that happened to be in the side of the building I was beside). CD players were against the law in my dream city, I acknowledged that.
An older man approached me and his presence, without word, warned me of a nearby officer in a suit coming up the street. I panicked and grabbed the power chord, leaving the CD player in my rush. Walking swiftly as to not seem obvious, I tossed the power chord into a car I passed so I am not caught red-handed. The man's presence followed me.
I went left down the next block with the notion that I would make a few more lefts and collect my things once the officer went past them. The road ahead would not allow me to turn left due to oddly placed roadblocks and other obstructions. I made my way down the street still trying to turn left and finally once getting to the riverside I could. (Still in the city, the city is on a river like mine) So I start walking down the next road back to my CD player, but I see some kind of commotion ahead.
I reach the intersection... people running this way and that, people poised to attack something.. something... what was it?
Oh my... god.... a 20 ft tall cartoon style Magneto is standing in the street looking at me with intent to kill.
A man opens his case, ready to attack with the contents (all metal)... they fly out of the case and stick to Mega Magneto. He leans in my direction and the contents around him start to hover.
My first thought is RUN! But I could never be fast enough...
The older male presence turns his back to me, and I know to climb on. He starts to jog down the street with me holding him koala style, but I knew it wasn't fast enough. So he begins to run... faster... and faster... I start to lift off his back and have to hold on tighter, we are going so fast I'm experiencing butterflies and the world is zooming by.. A building is infront of us, we don't turn right or left but run straight up it right into the sky.
All I can see is the sky, all I can feel are the sensations of being on a rollercoaster, we tilt facing downwards and the tops of large skyscrapers appear. He and I land on one of them, and I almost miss it, sliding down the edge of the building, but he helps me back up.
We stood there together, holding each other, and I felt so protected. I closed my eyes and let myself be completely vunerable to him, letting go all of my barriers while he held me tightly against him. I knew he was there for me.
Because it's a dream, suddenly we are in the building, on the bottom floor. I recognize this as a kind of safe-house for those hiding from Magneto. It's a dimly lit living room setting, and there are people lounging about talking. I stand back and observe with my man. I try to remember what I was looking for earlier but the more I think the farther it was from my mind, and the less it mattered.
No peace can be had, certainly not with Magneto around, and the wall is ripped away exposing us to the outside world. All of us run outside, pieces of the building are flying left and right sticking to Magneto. I begin to run from the area. The male presence disappears and I turn back.
He is lying in the road, looking at me, and telling me with his eyes to go ahead, to run. He is not afraid but happy, like he did what was needed to be done.
I don't even think twice about it, and run to him. I lay ontop of him guarding him from any debris and kiss him deeply. We realize that we are to die together right there, and I feel no regret. He starts to cry. I wasn't afriad, but instead felt a rush of love pass over me as my vision of the city began to get father away... until all I could see were the tops of the buildings again....
That was my dream... The man... now this is the icing on the cake. For this was a celebrity dream... Morgan Freeman. Another odd thing, though I was listening to music in the beginning, and all of this destruction was about, I did not hear a sound. I also had a feeling the whole time that no one else could see or feel him.
Morgan Freeman and Magneto... a Tyne Dream....
