Hi Adropoflight sorry about the delay..
From what you have said it sounds like a bit of astral travel or momentary out of body experience. When we are asleep the body is paralyzed. This I guess is to stop us enacting out our dreams in the physical...i.e.. fighting or eating...sometimes this paralysis doesn't kick in and this can cause some problems, i.e. sleepwalking, or becoming agitated and aggressive while asleep and not being in control............
But from a purely symbolic point of you, dreaming about an apartment or house is usually representative of the psyche...your mind..your soul.. if you are dreaming and your dream is set in the bedroom..
Bedrooms relate to close relationships and beds themselves can be places of refuge. You say you saw your wife speaking but everything was Grey with a bluish tone..Blue usually signifies our emotions and needs. They grayish tinge, to me is that there maybe be an overlay of anxiety here... You wife is talking but you cannot properly make out what she is saying..this could be indicative of that saying you can see she is speaking but are you listening or can you hear what she is saying..blue is also the color of communication, are you having problems communicating at the moment.?? It could be something as obvious as that..
Obviously moving is a very stressful time..this sounds like a combined experience of some dreaming and some early waking with the sleep paralysis still being in place. This can be a little scary, I'm not surprised things seems out of sync and surreal. Try not to worry, and next time it happens.. try and relax and you should wake normally..
I hope this has helped..
