Another one from the weird dreamer!

I dreamed that I was in my bedroom - but this was the bedroom I had as a child, not my current one. I go to close the curtains and notice loads of cobwebs clustered on the floor. Annoyed, I start to clear them up, then I see the spider that made the webs. It is HUGE (to me anyway!) it was as big as my hand.

I begin to wonder why it had put webs on the floor and not in the usual places. I realise that this spider was hand reared and does not know better. I start to throw insects onto it's web, so that it can eat. My aim is to win it's trust so that I can get it to come to and walk on my hand. My mother is helpng me with this quest. (this is strange, because both my mother and I do not like spiders!)

I end up winning it's trust, but before I can return it to its owner - it starts trapping and eating human beings ---- this is where I wake up.

This dream has me stumped! lol

When we dream about our home it usually symbolizes protection, comfort and a need to be surrounded by familiar things. The condition of the room can also indicate your state of mind. Each room in the house represents a different purpose, different aspects of the human personality. For many western dreamers the negative imagery associated with spiders, which spin webs to entrap creatures, will be uppermost in their dreams. However, a dream about a spider spinning a web is a symbol of good fortune, it represents the power of the dreamer to protect themselves with a web of their own creation and to control events around them.

A spider is also a hardworking creature and as such symbolizes honest toil. I feel that this is representative of your own work ethic, but also too, that you have this need to be in control of your own environment. You say your mother is with you and helping you in your quest. Parents often appear in their children's dreams as symbols of authority but in this case, I see her in a supporting and mothering role. Do u confide in your mother and ask for her advice, if you don't maybe you should..also if there has been any discord in this relationship, this points to the way of reunion and communication.

This is a very unusual dream Loz, why am I not surprised...

I can't help it if I keep you on your toes, I have always had these types of dreams! I have had one recently which I found very disturbing, but some of its content is too grusome for me to share in a public forum.
