Giving Birth!!

Hi had this incredible vivid dream last night, a bit too vivid, I woke up thinking I was being sick!!

In real life, my boss Kate the vet is pregnant. Early pregnancy about 14 weeks. We were talking about pregnancy at work yesterday, as she was going for her first scan today.

This was my dream:-

I'm in a largish room, it looks like a big kitchen. Kate is standing over me, and there is someone else in the room with us, it could be Sharon the veterinary Nurse but I can't see her face.

I am in the throes of childbirth. Yes, me, but somehow, this is Kate's baby. Weird isn't it..lol

Anyway, I start to give birth, first one baby comes, then another connected by the longest umbilical cord I've ever seen. Kate goes to clean the babies up, and I feel something again, I put my hands down and there is another head coming. I look and this beautiful baby slides out, she's really large. With blonde hair. But so big. I pick her up as I'm afraid she will be hurt, she shot out on the floor, luckily I was crouching. She was covered in the membrane, and it was the most realistic thing I have ever experienced. I wanted to hold her. Kate took the baby to clean her up, and I was sick in the sink, as I didn't know I was pregnant, it was all a bit much for me. I woke up.

I feel this dream depicts your help towards your pregnant friend Kate. It shows you will be support to her in the coming months. You will help her ease worries about the changes in her life that are coming up. Hope this helps, god bless you Karen.

There could be the literal interpretation of feeling of possessiveness (in a good sense) and care to your friend. There is another side to it though. The fact that the first two babies are joined together could represent two new ideas or ventures that you are considering that will influence each other. The third baby which you see so clearly yet it slips out of your hands could represent an anxiety you feel about a situation you are in. You love this situation, yet fear that you will lose it.

I don't know about dream interpretation, so my comments are only what I can intuit from the emotions in your writing.

I hope that in some small way I can at least give you another point of view.

Thank you Leon and Loz, it was great to get both of your feedback. I haven't even tried to interpret it for myself. I like to have other's impressions. When its yourself its tougher.

I agree with you both about the babies symbolizing the birth of new idea's or projects. Maybe something in me too is being born!
The fact that the babies were well and healthy is also a good sign as indicates whatever new idea's, projects will prosper and thrive.

In the kitchen, one of my rooms in my house, signifying usually kitchen's family, gathering. The baby shooting out, could be maybe a an idea appearing from no where, shooting out, need to grab it before it gets away from me. Great potential. Being sick in a dream, maybe to do with bringing up something that I am not facing, having to deal with something indigestible!! Hard to swallow. Time will tell..
