The universe made me a promise yesterday. I just know it did.
Let me tell you what happened. I had a hugely stressful day, lots of aggro from a grumpy boss, lots of hassle from irate customers and generally, I felt down, dispirited and depressed, I still had to go and do all my family's grocery shopping and I felt just like crawling into a muddy hole somewhere. So I asked the universe for help.
I was just about to go into the supermarket, and it had been raining hard, and sunny - odd sort of day. I happened to glance up at the sky and in my mind's eye I could see a rainbow. Now, it was not actually there, but somehow I knew that is exactly where it should be............then right in front of my weary eyes, there appeared not one, but two rainbows. Beautiful big arching colourful bows, spanning the sky and lighting up the world with their glory and technicolour promise of better things to come. If that wasnt an answer I dont know what was. I went in to do my shopping with a big beaming face and people kept asking me to share the joke!!! ;D To me, personally, a rainbow reminds me of the promise God made after the great flood never to destroy the earth by water again. To me personally it simply reminds me, that rainbow, that when you feel trouble is overwhelming, the universe always finds a way to remind you that there is light and love and hope. In the oddest of places......... ;D
