In this journey of life, we go through several experiences; some strange, some beyond our wildest imagination; sometimes we just can’t understand what is happening around us. Sometimes, people’s behavior is so strange, unbelievable, inhumane, but this strange drama is created to help us change! These experiences and people’s enactment will help us evolve. Therefore we need to view everything with eyes of tranquility, acceptance and with the attitude of surrender. Instead of reacting to what happens, we need to learn to reflect and respond - knowing that each experience is not here to put us down, but rather to challenge us, provoke us, to learn something, to experience something that helps us evolve and eventually grow to realize the true self! So whenever something happens, relax, don’t react, accept it, know it has a purpose, it has a meaning. Try to find that meaning, try to find what lesson that has for you. If we are patient and calm, we will find something truly amazing that helps us go to the next step. This whole life journey is a journey to evolve, to learn to grow, to climb, to go upward, forward onward and “God-ward”.

And you wonder why I specialize in self deprecating humor. I don't even take myself very seriously so why should I with the others? I have - as the original post pointed out - some experiences that went beyond coincidence that only recently began to make sense. It is becoming quite a learning experience. It isn't so much I found Jesus and fled the Devil as it is I am beginning to discover myself thru the others and how they react to me. In that I am realizing the whole concept of friend and foe is really very limited and not very useful.
But I would never be able to see that if I mistrusted everybody - or put my trust in all of them. I think of Satan as more of a drill sergeant disguised to look like the enemy during the war games. In the end we all get to sit down at the table and wine and dine. Well some of us may get the first helping and the rest the left overs ...
