Dear Friends,
I wanted to share some photos of my 'Back yard' lol...this is less than 5mins walk from my house so although its not my back yard I still call it that as it feels that way. I feel so blessed to live in this place. To walk barefooted in the sand and connect to all the elements around me. The photos do no justice to the beauty of this place, but I still wanted to share with you all because I feel so blessed and happy when out walking. I could never get tired of this place and if I was to imagine heaven well my friends this would be it. I often use these imageries in my meditations and its one of the places I choose to walk with my angels (in meditation) Anyway I just wanted to share with you all. While its great to explore with our minds...nothing compares to 'seeing' and 'connecting' through the heart
My first stone tower...seen these a lot on the net so this morning I thought why not...and so I did
for all my friends here in The God Light *Bows
This is only the start of the beach it goes on and on and is just beautiful...
The Little dirt road for tractors with food for their animals in winter...
See the little black shape in the centre of photo in the distance...that is a big rock erected by the people of our village as a marker for all the little children who were buried here...it was during the famine and they were told what to do by the church...many a baby or weak child died before they could be baptised and therefore were buried here...in unmarked graves with a little rock as a headstone. It's a very sad story and as children ourselves we would play here never knowing what was buried there. Thankfully the locals got together a century later and placed this marker as a reminder and recognition of the little ones resting place. I have more photos of the place and the little bumps in the ground and the stone marker which I will share again at another time. Although this is a place of much sadness...the beauty that surrounds it is breath-taking and you don't get a feeling of sadness either, but one of great peace. I always say a little 'hello' to the children as I pass by and the air feels light and happy, so I feel these little ones are at peace, but my heart goes out to the parents of times past who had to leave their little one here with no marker except for a stone for a headstone. There are stories of hearing children's laughter when walking but I have never heard it myself. Sorry its a little morbid I know but I wanted to acknowledge the photo and tell its story. RIP little ones x
To finish on a more upbeat note...here is a pic from our patio door of the moon last night...just hanging there above our little village quietly looking down on the people below all tucked up in their beds, dreaming sweet dreams.
Hope you all enjoy my 'Back Yard' and I hope you all might share your 'Back Yard' with me
Love and Light

Oh Lorraine.. what a beautiful place you live.. I did feel sad at the story of the children.. but as you pointed out. What a wonderful resting place. I like to think of their spirits running free, playing along the beach still. I can see why you would use this imagery, when you walk with your Angels.. there is such a sense of peace about the place. It's your back yard..but I can also see why Ireland, is called 'God's own country'. Before I forget, mean't to tell you how much I adore your 'stone tower'. I am fascinated by stones like this, and did have a wonderful stone picture. Which sadly got broken and put up in the attic in my old home, and I never took with me when I left. You should have that picture blown up and framed Lorraine. I would. It's stunning. Thank you so much for sharing these lovely pictures of your home with us. Love and light Kaz

Dear Karen and Samy
Thank you both so much for your genuine kind words and it was so lovely to share part of my homeland essence with you Also thank you for appreciating with me the natural beauty that I am so blessed to have on my doorstep
I have 4 more photos from yesterday that I didn't have time to upload but here they are now...it just completes the scenery
You may or may not have heard of Ireland's Holy Mountain...well here it is! This is called Croagh Patrick or The Reek...it is where St. Patrick was held and there is a church on the very peek of the pointy bit...mass is still celebrated there on special occasions. The highest point is 2,500 ft above sea-level and when you are at the top...it literally feels like your on top of the world We are surrounded by little islands of various sizes which is called Clew Bay and there is 365 islands altogether an island for each day of the year. John and Yoko Ono actually bought one in the 60's but I think they sold it on some years later. Anyway when you are at the top of the Reek you can see every island across the entire bay and its truly breathtaking. Many still climb the holy mountain every year as a pilgrimage...many bare footed in many in their 80's...imagine! The view on the way up is one of constant changing and the actual climb at the top is very dangerous...with sharp loose rocks! There is no way I would do it in my bare feet lol...I did it with boots on and my boots were battered afterwards! Anyway I just wanted to fill you in on some of the history
Croagh Patrick aka. The Reek
There in the distance is one of the Islands in the bay called Claire Island...one of the largest one's with a population of about 150-200 people. Island life is difficult in the Atlantic as we are prone to fierce storms and the Island's get a right good battering. They are completely cut off from the main land and so they rely on boats for deliveries, goods and post. The trip takes between 40 - 90 mins depending on which point you cross at. It is a beautiful island with an amazing lighthouse (sadly no longer in use) but still stands and has been turned into a self catering accommodation.
And lastly Currane Hill ...this is the hill I wake up to each morning...a beautiful spot. It is possible to walk or drive half way up and then look back over our village and clew bay...the view is stunning but at twilight its like looking down from heaven Our coastline has been damaged severely over the past 2 years with the severe storms but still the natural beauty remains. Whenever I walk these shores I always feel so honoured to be alive and to experience its beauty. In the summer months the beaches are quite full but in winter its my own private paradise I cant express how grateful I am to live here...to connect and become one with this environment. It is truly a humbling experience to walk the shore We named our house 'Cogar Na Mara' which is gaelic for 'Whispers of the Sea' because from our house you can hear the Atlantic ocean and on calm quiet days its ebbs and flows sounds like whispers on the breeze. I LOVE IT HERE
Thank you both again for your lovely comments and for allowing me to share this little gem on this beautiful planet
It's not hard to wake up to this every day and never get tired of the view...and I just love to beach comb...the treasures I find are amazing! I make shell wind chimes and collect stones and sun dried and bleached driftwood and make little trinkets with. Anyway I love my 'Back yard'
Please share places that you connect to...be it at home or away...share what connects your heart to our beautiful planet...what make's your soul sing? I would love to experience other places on our globe...but through the eyes and hearts of others! Even if you don't have pictures...be as descriptive as you can with your writings, so I and others may feel a sense of our beautiful planet.
Thank you both again and I hope others here will also share their favourite places with us.
Love and Light

God, God, God.........dddddddd........!!!!! Now, this is too much, Lorraine Its like every single word seems to be like a sharp arrow killing my heart everytime, I saw the pictures and the peaceful area that represents your life and mine right now God, have mercy on me!!!! Allow me to do some good Karmas, and get a chance like Lorraine to live in such a beautiful place ever lol Lastly, as I was saying that words are not enough to describe the beauty of the nature you are surrounded with right now Same manner, this time I would add that "Dreams do come true, no matter with us or someone elses" What a nice place to think off.... For us here in India, only Goa is one that is being enriched with the seashore and beaches for a silent place to be part off.....Rest is all getting crowdy day by day, even the hilly areas as well.. Lorraine, this is not good... , to enjoy the beauty alone....So, do share more and more pictures to let people like us feeling the sense of heaven here by looking at them only lol. Wow, what a nice nice,,,, soooo sweetness of nature and its environment to experience.. Thanks for sharing the pictures Love and Light. Samy !!!

A bit long, on don't really focus on the beach much, until the end, but the forest itself is magical and full of energy. just four miles from where I used to live.

Dear Samy Thank you for such lovely expressions of joy One thing I must say...You said "Lorraine, this is not good... , to enjoy the beauty alone...." Oh my dear lovely friend...did you not see the message I wrote in the sand? I am never alone here for I carry you all in my thoughts and my heart...in fact I think of all my loved ones as I walk, so no my friend...I do not enjoy this alone...I picture all those I love with me...sharing in the moment with me I even have silent conversations with you all When I choose a rock to sit on and look out over the Atlantic I send as much love and goodwill out over the waves...to where one ocean meets another. There is no distance between souls my friend...I am here experiencing it for you and you are there experiencing it for me, and here in the God light we share our mutual love of our beautiful planet Thank you Samy Hi Robert, I am so sorry you were unable to upload or post your photos and I pray you will be able later...I am very much looking forward to seeing and reading all about it Love and Light All

Dear Lorraine Thanks for such deep spiritual feeling of remembering us in the thoughts , as well as within the soul beauty of nature (still, my EGO comes out within this so called "Samy" spirit by saying, "The Grass looks always green on the other side") lol .... Love, Life and Nature....The combination of these 3 things, makes the spirit connected with the soul smoothly Words are always the same in any conversation...But, its the vibration of the feelings, that makes the other end take it the way they send....(Positive - Positive & vice versa)..... "Namaste " Its all about making a smile to everyone with a feeling of complete peace all around . And, that's what you have already done by sharing such beautiful picture of nature Thanks once again!! Its like a person who is been thirsty for years to get a single drop of water......get a chance to feel the sense of water in pictures atleast So, love is all about the feelings...rather a physical touch of experiencing them.....Same ways, to be always pure from inside, the locker of thoughts should be accessible to everyone..... We are actually strengthening our own spirit by saying or sharing such things...... Spirituality is all about whatever comes in mind or experienced from nature.....will be a great reminder of searching for the happiness around us.... And, the beauty of the nature is the best way to recall the sub-consciousness in a awakened mind Like everyone, I am too a great lover of the nature and its silent beauty to disconnect from the material world and enjoy my own company.. The best way to experience spirituality is live with the spirituality Its all about the inner love, that makes everything seems precious in this world God Bless Everyone!!! Samy!!!

A small snippet of the beach.
You can see the tracks left by the race horses been trained. This is the beach used in the film, "saving private Ryan".

Hi Robert I just thought it would be a nice idea to get people to notice their environment in a bit more detail and maybe reconnect or strengthen the connection they have with nature. For me, spirit isnt all about seeking an answer or knowledge...sometimes its the little things we take each day for granted and often we fail to connect to the other forms of spirit..ie. nature Please dont think this is 'MY' post as that was not my intention ...I was just simply sharing my day and area and what makes me happy. ...it was also an invitation for others to PLEASE share their own places of pleasure or their own soul retreats. I enjoyed reading what you have written about your walks with your dogs and I am imagining what it must be like walking through the woods through to the sea...it sounds lovely Also there is no pressure to post a photo...a good discription sometimes is as good as a photo I am happy that you,Samy and karen have remembered some nice memories. I often get reminded here in the forum for different posts about certain memories. ..and anything can trigger a memory be it a piece of music someone has shared or a particular text in a post...always nice to retrieve a pleasent memory Anyway I just didnt want anyone to think this was my post...I just simply wanted to try and share a lovely walk I had one morning...with my friends here Thanks for sharing Robert Love and Light
