The most important faculty of a human being – it’s not our body or mind, but it’s our intellect. What is the intellect? It is that faculty of the human being that is able to reason and discriminate. It is through this reasoning and discrimination that an individual makes choices. These choices then create decisions that the mind instructs the body to follow. The mind thinks what the intellect decides and issues instructions for the body to move and then the body moves. But the fact remains that the most important element of a person’s life is the intellect. Therefore, what actually makes or breaks any individual is the intellect. It is through the intellect that all decisions in a man’s life are made; even spiritually, we are known to be combination of the body, mind, intellect, and soul.
While the human form is actually made of the body, mind and intellect, and if you really see, the master is the intellect. It is the intellect that we should reach out to. We should be able to control the intellect, and it is the intellect that is fed by the Prana, Chi, life, soul, or Atman. One needs Grace, Gyan or Guru to be able to develop the intellect.
A developed intellect helps a man realize the truth of self and God, helping him choose to move from achievement to fulfillment. It makes a man stop at his need and not to get caught in his greed. It gives us clarity, reason and the intelligence that we talk of to make a right decision. Therefore, understand and realize that what you must try to get to the depth of in your life is your intellect. Sharpen your consciousness, take charge of your intellect, and you will be in charge of your life!

I just woke up from a dream where I had a plate of - well spaghetti sort of - and being half awake I was vacillating between two states of consciousness. The rational mind had an irresistible urge to turn the plate upside down and make a big mess. But dreams are the realm of the subconscious and that part of me would have nothing to do with upsetting the apple cart. At least in this case. That might also explain why hypnotists shrug off the suggestion they can hypnotize people to commit crimes. People make decisions every day based on what is good for the whole. It doesn't go away during the afternoon nap. We have programmed ourselves unless sickness or medicines intervene.
It sure would have been fun though to see that big plate of pasta hit the deck! Confounded morals and sense of propriety .....you can't get away from them!

The intellect plays no part in our decision making nor does rationality, if we made rational decisions there would be no wars and human beings would not be destroying the world we live in
The intellect part of the brain is the last part to develop in human evolution all our decisions are based on the emotional part of the brain not the intellect
Big business spend millions of dollars researching our emotional brain because that what we use to purchase things
The intellect is only the puppet, the puppet master is the emotions
We survived for millions of years using our instincts not out intellects
Every day all human beings have 4 needs that they have to meet, these are as follows
Significance Certainty Uncertainty connection and love
Every decision we make has theses at the root of them, we are not computers we are human we are emotional not logical or rational
If human beings were rational there would be no crime, no wars, no greed, no fear, no destruction, no poverty, no children abused, no terrorism, no religion, no global warming, and no drug addiction- because none of these things are rational.
Emotions are king because they are stored in the subconscious mind where all our programming lives, the problem is most people spend their entire lives trying to avoid having feelings, and trying so hard to rationalize everything
We eat to deal with our feelings and emotions, we shop to change the way we feel, we do not buy stuff because we need it anymore we buy it to change the way we feel
We build machines that make rational decisions but we build them to make life easier and so make our lives feel better
Computers make rational decisions humans make emotional decisions
The limbic system (emotional brain) came first and we used this brain for over 200 million years and then came the intellect which started to evolve only about 6 thousand years ago
The inflect is only a baby in evolutionary terms, emotions rule they always have and always will, we could not have survived without out limbic brain (instinctive and emotional brain)
The reason people think that the intellect rules the brain is so many people are unaware of their own emotional decisions because we spend so much time in modern society doing one thing
Trying to numb our selves
During the birth if civilization it was the goal of most people To Know Thyself
In the 21st century the goal of most people is To Numb Thyself

Thanks Barry I really enjoyed reading this I am very much an instincts person...I feel everything and it has served me well so far in life. I nearly always go with my gut instinct I think that is why I find it hard to connect with people who live in their heads all the time...while its good to explore and develop a certain amount of knowledge...I think its equally important to connect emotionally and to actually feel life and spirit. Thanks again for sharing this with us Love and Light

The perpetual problem I have with my local spiritual groups is that they are almost exclusively girls and they ( girls ) tend to not have a clue what they have or what they are doing. They just feel and emote. I find it ironic some people can be aware of things so minute they are incomprehensible to me and yet they would be totally unable to manage the world around them.
I have often wondered what is saving us from total chaos? And in the absence of total knowledge how much we must rely on faith. And what is faith but an intellectual decision to place our destiny on things we don't know yet. Emotion would just cause us to run and hide. Or strike out in haste because that is how we felt for the moment ...
