Recently, I’ve just healed myself from Acid reflux. Though Antacids helps, but it will have side effects for sure. I will not bother you its symptom, you have to ask your doctor or search for useful information yourself.
Anyway, the following is brief information from some medical website:
Acid Reflux, Heartburn, & GERD
What Is Heartburn?
Technically, heartburn is the symptom you feel when acid splashes up and out of the stomach. "Heartburn" is sometimes used interchangeably with "acid reflux."
What Is Acid Reflux?
Acid reflux is when stomach acid splashes up from the stomach into the esophagus.
What Is GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease)?
GERD is severe or chronic acid reflux that can lead to complications, such as cancer.
If you feel like the acid burning your throat (heartburn), try the followings. I'm not an expert of this and will never pretend to be. But after I gathered some useful information, I already tried it myself, and it worked. More than that, it’s safe and I survive. lol. Kidding. It’s more than safe because it’s just herb (and food). So, even you don’t have any acid reflux, it still can be your regular food.
1. A half teaspoonful of baking soda
Yes, that sodium bicarbonate. Though it’s not a herb, but it has less side effects or even none.
-1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
-a glass of fresh (warm) water
2. ginger root
Ginger root can help ease up a number of stomach woes, from nausea to acid reflux. Sipping a cup of fresh ginger root tea before a meal. As I eat rice every meal, so I cook (mix) it with my rice. :-)
3. Eat banana or apple
Yes, they are good for health anyway, even you don’t have acid flux.
There are still more herbs that help (please find more information by yourself). The above are only what I tried and did work for me.
P.S. Let me add another helpful information on herb that really helps for constipation: lemon.
Squeeze the juice of one or ½ lemon into 1 cup of warm water. Drink it before you go to bed. And see what will happen in the next morning (or even sooner) :-)
