“You sit here for days saying, 'This is strange business.' You’re the strange business. You have the energy of the sun in you, but you keep knotting it up at the base of your spine. You’re some weird kind of gold that wants to stay melted in the furnace, so you won’t have to become coins." ~Rumi
“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside…dreams. Who looks inside, Awakens.” – Carl Jung
“Each time you think a loving thought you literally bless all realms of creation.” – Shanti Christo Foundation (via Awakening People)
“What I do today is important, because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.” – Unknown
"If you knew yourself for even one moment, if you could just glimpse your most beautiful face, maybe you wouldn’t slumber so deeply in that house of clay. Why not move into your house of joy and shine into every crevice! For you are the secret Treasure-bearer, and always have been. Didn’t you know?" ~Rumi

I taught grade school and fairy tales to children for two decades. My all-time favorite fairy tale line: from The Nightingale, the very last line in the story -
The servants now came in to look after the dead emperor; when, lo! there he stood, and, to their astonishment, said, “Good morning.”
"Good morning" has become my mantra in this lifetime. I wake up each morning at 4-5 am and bounce out of bed, happy, thankful and grateful to be alive. I came to the understanding years ago that we're eternal souls, and we live many lifetimes, and that physical life is temporary and it's my responsibility to honor each day that I'm in this incarnate state.

Baangus, that's my Favorite! (The Nightingale) ...well, ah, right up there with the Snow Queen...or East of the Sun and West of the Moon. Or The Five Wise Words of the Guru. Or, um, Lots of fairy tales, lol. But that's Such a good memory - thank you! Actually, anyone who taught fairy stories to children for two decades is okay in My book I wonder if that's why I bounce out of bed happy in the mornings?
