It's funny how the world works and sometimes it goes down easily and effortlessly and at other times it can be real irritating. Even as some thing might really stick in your throat only to become more palatable over time. My "group therapy" teacher laments the students often seem to flee in terror at first because the truth must be terrifying to them. Well we might get thrown out on our ears if we espoused something not politically correct but I won't get into that for now.
I recently attended what I code name one of my "sensitivity training" sessions and one of the more memorable statements I remember was that some souls just haven't been around for very long. Because of that they tend to be and incarnate in more primitive surroundings. As is what we call third world countries. They feel more at home in rural places without so many machines. To them it is better to keep things simple.
I certainly am sensitive to that statement! At one level it was used as an excuse for the organized and powerful to enslave those that were not. But at another level it explains why some counties and some societies never seem to progress even to the point of self sufficiency. What I find particularly telling is that at times we just assume people are where they should be in regards to their intelligence. At other more enlightened eras we admit people are limited by their environment. Which is correct? Both? Neither?
My "sensitivity training" sessions test me to see if I can feel anything beyond the normal. Sometimes I can honestly say I do. Not much but then I also react in response. In ways I did not awhile back. One such concept I had trouble with is that I just assumed all persons were created equal. That sounded so nice how could you argue against it? Now I realize it is NOT so. It is not anybodies fault even as there is no moral judgement involved. There is nothing here to indicate anybody is more or less worthy then another. But I am becoming more sensitive to to the fact that people - including myself - are just incapable of doing or knowing certain things. You can not assume the little world of one person is identical to another's. And yes we do tend to sort ourselves out eventually.
Are you happy where you are? Does anybody outside seem to know or care? You might be stubborn and inconsolate. Or you may just be at some stage of your life where you just don't see things the same way as the others. There will be no rest until you do something about it. It is not so much that we become part of the elite as it is we change over time and over many life times. No use trying to explain that. Or trying to fit in where we can't or won't.
