It's funny how you do things and nobody much gives you a challenge but at some level you do begin to panic. You work you struggle you achieve you get some measure of self confidence. But at another level you wonder if your really in there. Or if you are just there by mistake. Or tolerated because you just dont know any better.
What are the parameters? Do the others have something you don't? And can't even understand?
"It is suggested" I need to raise my vibrations. Never mind the sacrifices I made, how bad I feel, what I endure now and don't even bother to complain about. Apparently I am just not there yet. It isn't so much my fault as it is a fact of life.
I can imagine a thousand scenarios; a thousand cosmetologies of perplexion. What is REALLY going on? The teacher, the janitor, the bum on the street; are they secretly looking at me with hope and anticipation? What do they have that I do not?
That is the question.
If there is anything I have learned from all this it is that I will HAVE all I desire when I am able to BE that very thing. Not a shell, not a title or degree; the is no limet to the number of people I can impress or fool; only a very select few seem to actually have this. They seek spirituality but they are already spiritual. There is a difference.
And the only way you will ever get there is raising your vibrations. Gate crashers will not. The club is very exclusive and I have reason to believe that is exactly how it is suposed to be. Not snobs; not the "spiritual elite"; just people or persons very happy and a joy to be with. Because they vibrate on a higher level.

There is emotional grading scale. The Church of Scientology one (of all places) is a good one to start with. It gives one an idea of how feeling change when we go up and down the scale. One can maipulate one's place on the scale to some degree, by observing self-talk and modifying bahaviour based on the 'fake it until you make it' principle, but that allows at most a 3 notch adjustment up or down. Moving beyond that is a matter of adopting different beliefs, attitudes and true, un-faked behavior.
I shall try to get some more information on this.

You need to keep it together. You need to believe in yourself. Comparison with another is primarily the most unnecessary action one may take. Hence, it is essential for you to know and guide yourself to the belief of being the best.

All knowledge is in us. The trick is to gain access. The spirits put people that we work with into what we call the quickening. It is a raising of our vibration. This raising of the vibration allows access to to higher knowledge and information. It also allows fuller comprehension and deeper comprehension of the knowledge that we already have. Some of you may have experienced this with the use of some drugs. Having knowledge that could cure all of the worlds ills and then forgetting the next day when the effects wear off. The forgetting happens because the drugs are just a temporary shortcut. This has to be earned by doing ones personal clearing work and ending our inner conflict. And at some point the spirits can then put you into the quickening.

First it is drugs; next your be telling me not to eat. I never heard of such nonsense. Well I did and it is called sun gazing . You would think I turn into a monster if I don't get my daily quota of potato chips and Fritos. It is not like I am trying to quit smoking tabacco and wear a Nicoderm patch. So what it I get more from saccharin then meditation. I am only human. Isn't that what I am suposed to be?
How about I become a part time saint? The rest of the time I can do what comes naturally. I'm sure I can go between two worlds without any problem. If "straddling the fence" becomes uncomfortable I can just complain I wasn't built for chairs shaped like the top of a picket fence.
Come to think of it I don't know who is .....
And I don't even want to think what will happen when I run out of pillows. I'll just stay here and be uncomfortable for awhile untill I have the courage to jump down from my fence. So you can understand if the pain makes me a bit irritable. Or how foolish I must look for mistaking a swinging gate for a rocking chair. I just assumed if it was there you were suposed to sit on it!

Hi gruntal Raising our vibrations and being happy and a joy to be around all starts with the individual, including something as simple as how one responds to peoples' thoughtful contributions on an internet forum thread. Experiencing our humanity is great and it's part of the incarnation experience. But being human is not an excuse to stop evolving our relationship with life and spirit. And evolving that relationship does in fact require us to become conscious participants - to take steps to raise our vibrations so to speak. Meditation is such a step, as is becoming more and more discerning regarding what it is we put into our spirit temple bodies.

Raising your vibrations?
Looks to me like a fancy euphemism for changing one's attitudes or expanding one world view. Take the hype out of it and it becomes an ordinary task all of us are dealing with every day.
