Does God exist ?
Scientists tell us that the earth is perfectly placed at the right distance from the sun to sustain life. Any closer it would fry us. A little further away it would freeze us. The moon is perfectly placed and at the right distance to control our weather patterns and sea tides.
Could this all be just an incredible fluke of luck for us?
Let’s look around us at the moment, LIFE everywhere, progressing, developing, evolving into higher forms. Forests (trees) to help purify the oxygen which sustains all life. Colours which at times overwhelms us with its beauty in and through the assortments of flowers - bushes -trees, grasses etc. The might of our great oceans. The incredible universe filled with blinking stars, planets, galaxies which go further beyond the reach of our strongest telescope.
Then there is (MAN). A PERFECT specimen if we take the time to look closely at its physical features. Its design is flawless.
Everyone one day, sooner or later will come to know the truth of (is there a God - or not?). This has been occurring ever since man was able to think for himself.
But unfortunately many people today say (I dont believe in a God - or something like that) until they are laying in their death bed crying out with a great voice (I dont wont to die, please God save me).
Before that time arrives which is always sooner rather than later, we should look into the things that will help us for when that day does come; as it cannot be avoided it is inevitable.
Just my thoughts

Dear Neon, Yet another great post – Thank you My thoughts on this are.... I am lucky enough to believe and always have done from such a young age. For me I believe I was born knowing and loving God. I have been blessed by his presense constantly in my life. He has blessed me in so many ways, far more than I can probably recall. I could go on and on about how much I love him and want to please him but above all thank him. We all ask him and pray to him for help, support, guidance, comfort, love or even proof of his existence but how many stop and just thank him? Thank him for your gift of this life, for our lessons, for our growth and our happiness. Some are quick to question him...Why God did YOU let this happen to me? Why all the bad stuff I must endure? Why did you not help? Why, Why, Why? I believe that we DO evolve not just physically but spiritually also. That throughout our lives here we go through spiritual milestones. That we are constantly seeking and finding answers throughout our lifetime and indeed even on our deathbed. For me there will always be those who believe and those who don’t. For me it’s important that I believe in him and even more so that he believes in me – especially when I doubt myself! I believe there are some that have known him but through pain and suffering they choose to turn away from him, either to punish him or because they feel unworthy and punish themselves. Then there are those who want to believe but because there just isn’t enough ‘proof’ they can’t or won’t believe. There are those who don’t need proof because they just know. They can feel him in everything and everywhere. Sometimes I think that God is also evolving, growing and learning himself and its through this he is allowing us to go through the same process. Sometimes I think it is better to just have a faith because if we seek too much too soon we can become confused or even lost. So faith in God is a good belief to me. Sorry if I’m rambling on a bit I’m tired and was just heading to bed when I saw your post and felt compelled to reply to your excellent thread. Thanks again Neon. Love and Light and sweet dreams

Colours which at times overwhelms us with its beauty in and through the assortments of flowers - bushes -trees, grasses etc. The might of our great oceans. The incredible universe filled with blinking stars, planets, galaxies which go further beyond the reach of our strongest telescope. The universe is a disaster zone. As we speak asteroids are destroying planets, galaxies are colliding, and super-massive black holes are devouring everything they come across. Everything dies, everything suffers, nature is the perfect example of survival of the fittest ... and then the fittest perish. With all the countless planets in the universe we have only identified one so far that we know has life, earth. Is this how the Divine operates? Then there is (MAN). A PERFECT specimen if we take the time to look closely at its physical features. Its design is flawless. The body seems wondrous until something goes wrong with it. Then it quickly becomes a torture chamber. How is that perfect? Everyone one day, sooner or later will come to know the truth of (is there a God - or not?). This has been occurring ever since man was able to think for himself.

Just my thoughts God is oftentimes the last thing on people's mind. One day we will all remember.

There was a "good ol' boy" preacher and Evangelist (un-named) here in the colonies who oddly spiced up most of his sermons by almost morbidly dwelling on death. Needless the say (but I will say it anyway) reincarnation is anathema to most Christians including him. But if you decide you can not die do you still need a savior?
The Age of Enlightenment has brought much understanding of physics, biology, and human psychology. And yet how many academics ever even mention religious conversion as being a significant event in a person's life?
There are now seemingly endless works of fantasy and science fiction that would be considered blasphemous in years past because they upstage G*d as a primary contributing force in the universe. Logic and reason now rule! But what do we actually believe and how much is just entertainment for us?
I stubbornly think at any point in time the things we do not discuss are as important or more important then the things babbled. The Sacred is notoriously kept hidden. You can learn a lot just by talking to a person but his actions mean more in the long run. If G*d does exist you would never know by a casual conversation or appearance. Studying the universe and how it works and changes is to me more conducive to spirituality.
If things aren't always pleasant that to me only emphasizes the G*d mentality: free choice and risk rule supreme. Apparently that is how G*d wanted it to be. That everything still exists the extent is does suggests we are not slated for destruction as some kind of failed experiment.
I do admit it gets very awkward at times.

Neon, First of all, Hi I find this to be a very profound question and there are volumes which I could say on this topic relating to my own personal journey - but, to stick to the meaning of our question, please think on this a moment: That the Earth as you mentioned is perfecly placed to sustain life, and the moon to govern our tides and also the water within us. Earth is just one world; I believe with all my heart and soul that there are countless worlds spread across all of the universes of light; our solar system is just one of billions that exist, and those solar systems are connected to galaxies and those galaxies are connected to the universe, and that universe is connected to others and alternate universes and multiverses run parallel with this one...you can see how deep my thoughts are going with this To get back on track and answer your question, if I can - it's usually very hard for me to focus on everyday concerns that people have, my mind is always expoloring and trying to understand the big questions. If find it impossible not to believe in a creator of sorts for everything around us - would I call that creator God? - for myself that creates limitations in my thinking; I don't like limitations. I believe in a universal energy, a tapestry that weaves through both us and everything around us, not just on this world. Visualise if you will, an everyday noise we make, whether through speech or music or singing or any of the many other ways that we make noise, or the world around us makes noise. That noise does not disappear, it is carried on the waves and currents of space, heading deeper and deeper into the heart of creation, and if we were to imagine an alien somewhere that dreams, maybe they hear our voices and music and have the same questions that you have voiced here. Is there a God and does he exist? where is this beautiful images and sounds coming from? I guess what I am trying to say (albeit a little long-winded) is that I feel everything is inter-connected, and what we do is felt throughout eternity. And you are so right - why only seek God/Spirit/Universal Energy or whatever we choose in our hearts to call this wonderful force, on our death beds? I thank spirit from the depths of my heart for all the beautiful things that exist, from the fall of silent snow flakes on a winter's day to a glorise sunrise/set; from a small bird singing to the smile on your favourite pet. For all the beautiful worlds out there that may never feel the tread of an explorer's feet. I hope I haven't wandered off topic so much Peace & Light

Dear All,
Everyone has a conception of God/The Creator/The Divine Being/Universe. How one responds to a given situation in life determines the good or the bad outcome of it. Sometimes we make the wrong choices but the learning experience gained does mould us in a good or bad way.
We should always strive to achieve to the best of our own capabilities and grow in stages. Each soul has its objectives set out here in the universe that it lives in. We, the occupants in this world should complement each other rather than compete with each other. Hence, we will view ourselves as members of a big family.
God does not look upon us as 'Member A' or 'Member B'. HE views us as his children ever learning and striving upwards towards HIM. It is we, the children who have set ourselves in different camps. The sooner we learn this, the better off we will be.
Regards Ranjit

I would like to offer something of interest which was given me a few nights back when in meditation. I was deeply contemplating on the suffering in the world and how people cannot see the cause of it. Then I entered meditation and was given this insight below. Also, no words here are mine but some other.
Siddharta Gautama had the same problem when seeing chaos everywhere and in everything. Never had he ever experienced discomfort or insecurity in his life, as he was a prince and had everything catered for him without any effort on his part. But one day when he seen the aged and the diseased, the dead and the tortured, the hungry and the vile when leaving the compounds of his world - he was shocked and horrified as he didn't know nor did he understand these things. Imagine the state of his mind when he saw all this for the first time. This sight weighed heavily upon his mind that one day he couldn’t take it anymore, so he vowed to know the meaning of it. "Why Is This ?"
We all know what he accomplished in the end - dont we?
The moral of this story is; it’s so easy to see these things then pass it all off by saying there is no God without ever having the time to investigate why these things do take place. Look into things before time runs out. It’s only when we do put some effort in that help comes to us in many ways.

My wife and I and some people in our crew speak to spirits. FOR US THERE REALLY IS LIFE AFTER DEATH. I myself have no doubt that their is some central inteligence. Check out the FLOWER OF LIFE by Durnvalo Melchizedek. Sacred Geometry is the geometry of the Gods. Everything in existance that survives threw time is part of these patterns. Is there a God, I guess that is a journey that each has to make on their own.

You can not prove it to someone else. But it can prove itself to you if you are willing to do the personal clearing work to reconnect.

All the ECK Masters traveld to the heart of God by Soul travel and came back to teach there students to experance Gods Light and Sound, the Holy Spirit, to prove there is a God. This has been going on since the beginning of time. A living Master can show or train you to experience this.If not hes not a true master. All these true Masters have been recorded in history, well most of them. Theres always a true Master on earth, one that went through traning to receive Its Rod of Power thus becomming the Word made fleash and has the power to link Soul to the Holy Spirit

By being linked to the Holy Spirit ones karma is speeded up so it can work all its karma off purifing that Soul and the inner Master which is the Holy Spirit takes the Masters form and guides Soul back home to God to become a coworker with Him

"..deep down in every man, woman, and child, is the fundamental idea of God. It may be obscured by calamity, by pomp, by worship of other things, but in some form or other it is there. For faith in a Power greater than ourselves, and miraculous demonstrations of that power in human lives, are facts as old as man himself." (Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous 2001, p. 55)
