The words of the song are translated into english. It was written by the 9th sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur. 'Kahe Re Bun Khojan Jayee' "Why go out to search for your God in the Woods? For, though ever detached, He abides within us all: Yes, He also lives within you: As the Fragrance abides in the flower, And the reflection in the mirror, So also your God. So search Him not without, but within your heart Know the one Lord alone, within and without. This is the Wisdom imparted by the Guru. Says Nanak, " Without Knowing oneself, One is rid not of the moss of Doubt ( of duality and of sepratness of from rest of the creation)."

Hello leon.. this was very beautiful to listen to, and the words very meaningful. It touched something in me. I love how it does not matter what religion or belief something is if it speaks to the heart, we are all one.
Blessings Ruby

Someone asked me.. What is your religion? I said, "All the paths that lead to the light".

Hi Leon,
I too also love the words of Guru Tegh Bahadur. His words are so poetical, loving and kind. A gentle way of teaching others, that they do not have to look outward for guidance, but they too have that connection to the divine within.
It never ceases to amaze me how little we understand ourselves. Within us lies virgin and unexplored territory. A concept that has been understood and embraced by those in the east for thousands of years. I feel we can only benefit from following a similar path to enlightenment and spiritual growth.
Thank you for sharing.
Love and light Kaz

Gurbani is the jewel, the treasure of devotion.
Under Gurus instructions, hold your mind steady; O my soul, do not let it wander anywhere.
If possible listen to the shabad, and the words of the Guru's Bani.
God Bless everyone.
