May I suggest a few more to be included...? They're not "major religions", but very noteworthy, IMO. Shintoism of Japan Nature worship at it's finest. They have a belief that water itself is perhaps the only "remedy" needed for illness, provbided that the water is appropriately blessed, etc. (See "Hado water" on the internet.) Dr. Masaru Emoto, of "Messages from Water" fame, is from this background.
Jainism, predominantly in India... They believe in absolutely no violence or life- taking. The more strict ones do not travel at night for fear of stepping on an insect, do not eat roots of vegetables, due to the possibility that a subterranean insect or worm of some kind be harmed in the harvest, etc.
Zoroastrianism, predominantly in Persia (Iran) Except for the religion of Akenaten (Amenhotep IV), this is the oldest monotheistic religion on the planet. Some say that it is the actual precursor to the Jewish faith.
Sufiism This branch of Islam, known for it's "whirling dervishes" is perhaps the most esoteric and peaceful of the various branches of the Islamic faith.

Leon, et al...
I read somewhere a while back (so I don't remember the source), that Creator of All That Is, is taking an active part in teaching us the Truth of our existence. The modus operandi of doing so is via messengers that are sent to us from time to time (hundreds or thousands of hears apart) that teach us, according to our capacity to understand at that point in time. (This isn't to say that the message is tailored for what we are capable of at that time, necessarily. I think that at times, the message is just within our grasp and takes effort on our part to "go where we haven't gone before", in order to understand.)
Come to think of it, it may have been in "The World's Sixteen Crucified Saviors", that I posted a review of here in the Book section.
What I've often wondered is:
"If these various religions are truly inspired by "God", given directly to us, even in book form in some cases, by so- called "messengers of God", then why do their messages set us up against each other to the point of war and persecution?
One of the things I "do" is SRT, or, "Spirit Releasement Therapy", in which we have the client in a light trance and get in touch with entities of various kinds that have attached themselves to the client(s). In the process of getting them to let go, we have dialogue with them (the attached entities) and the information that comes through can be quite fascinating, to say the least.
In the course of my study of this area, I read a book by Shakuntala Modi, PhD, entitled, "Memories of God and Creation". She is a psychiatrist who does SRT. And in the course of her many, many cases, the information that she has gotten covers the gamut, as the title suggests.
One thing that she reported was that she was told by a dark entity that she released to the Light that they had intentionally adulterated the message of Creator in order to subvert it. It was accomplished via influencing people, basically.
