Is it a dream, or was it my life!!

I have a belief that we have walked this world many times, and sometimes, I believe we have memory of it. It tantalizingly surfaces and its like a half remembered dream, just out of sight. I would be very interested to know if anyone else has any memories of their past lives. I wrote this because it describes what if feels like to me, this half remembered feeling, this longing to be whole. To return to the source.


When I look in the Mirror, what do I see
is it my face or another, looking back at me
I have longed for this moment
dreamed of this time
when I can rekindle that flame thats divine

Stretching out in front of me, out into infinity
my life, my lives
my soul journeys forward, striving yearning
its core being drawn like a moth to the flame
shuddering loneliness felt by the same

I follow the pathways set out before me
as others have done so many times before me
occasionally joy filled as my soul touches another
one who is like me, part of me
how that illuminates me, fills me with joy
bereft am I when that light goes and I am alone

Star sprinkled sky, luminous light
wait for me, I am coming home, maybe this night

How lovely Kaz, magical words from the mind and heart of a very endearing lady. I am sure these traits have been with you through many life times, how ever many lives we have or experiences nothing can change the beauty of a soul so dear. Time will allow the beauty to be seen by old eyes, in a new world, which grows with every passing moment. God Bless you kaz we are all just experiencing our old friends good and bad, just in different settings.

8-) This is so awesome Kaz, funny how we do get those deja vouz moments...forgive spelling..I really enjoy your thought provoking work. I can honestly say I have moments in the same light...but I am so busy in this one that I likely ignore all the obvious "signs". Please keep posting..Thanks for sharing, kkandle whose birth name is also Karen lol.

Thank you Kkandle, I'm not like you a real poet, but every so often, I get moved to write something down. I guess, its my way of articulating some of the stuff I feel inside...If I don't I feel I'll burst..this is it bursting out of me..lol without the blood and guts..lol

I love your poetry, its colourful and insightful. Very descriptive and image provoking. I look forward to reading more. Its great to share stuff isn't it.
