This is excellent,Patti! I know from my own personal experiences that GOD has oftened talked to me this way.I get strong feelings, impressions, words, confirmations, etc. What a wonderful illustration of someone trying to be obedient to what he felt GOD wanted him to do.Since he wasn't afraid of ridicule or seeming like he was crazy,he blessed that family and in the process was blessed himself.

Does God Still Speak To Us?
A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible Study. The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice. The young man couldn't help but wonder, "Does God still speak to people?" After service he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways. It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, "God, if you still speak to people speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey."
As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought, stop and buy a gallon of milk. He shook his head and said out loud, "God is that you?" He didn't get a reply and started on toward home. But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk. The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli. "Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk." It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.
As he passed Seventh street, he again felt the urge, "Turn down that street." This is crazy he thought and drove on past the intersection. Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh street. At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh. Half jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God, I will". He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop. He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi-commercial area of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either.
The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed. Again, he sensed something: "Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street." The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep.
He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat. "Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid."
Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk. Finally, he opened the door, "Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here."
He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, "Who is it? What do you want?" Then the door opened before the young man could get away. The man was standing there in his jeans and t-shirt. He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. "What is it?" The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, "Here, I brought this to you." The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway speaking loudly in Spanish.
Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face. The man began speaking and half crying, "We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk." His wife in the kitchen yelled out, "I ask him to, send an Angel with some.. Are you an Angel?" The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that God still answers prayers.

Message from Ram Bahadur Bomjan (Palden Dorje) « Result #7 Yesterday at 8:55pm »
Hi everyone. I am Sun Pu-erh in chat. I was asked by popular demand to post this true story about "Buddha Boy". He was flimed in a documentary for 90+ hours, ummoving in his meditative state (seen on youtube, links below).
~
'Palden Dorje became world famous when he began a six year meditation at fifteen to promote world peace in May of 2005. He meditated for at least ten months in front of crowds apparently without sustenance in Bara District’s Ratanpuri before disappearing to continue his meditation in private.'
'Last year, he gave blessings in November. Approximately 400,000 pilgrims queued in the jungle to receive his blessings over a 12 day period. He made two speeches in which he urged people to recognize the compassion in their hearts, and their connection to one another through the all-encompassing soul.'
First Speech:
"A message of peace to our world today. Murder, violence, greed, anger and temptation have made the human world a desperate place. A terrible storm has descended upon the human world, and this is carrying the world towards destruction. There is only one way to save the world there is through the path of Dharma. When one doesn't walk the righteous path of spiritual practice, this desperate world will surely be destroyed. Therefore, follow the path of spirituality and spread this message to your fellows. Never put obstacles, anger and disbelief in the way of my meditation's mission. I am only showing you the way; you must seek it on your own. What I will be, what I will do, the coming days will reveal. Human salvation, the salvation of all living beings, and peace in the world are my goal and my path.
"Namo Buddha sangaya, Namo Buddha sangaya, namo sangaya."
I am contemplating on the release of this chaotic world from the ocean of emotion, on our detachment from anger and temptation, without straying from the path for even a moment, I am renouncing my own attachment to my life and my home forever. I am working to save all living beings. But in this undisciplined world, my life's practice is reduced to mere entertainment. The practice and devotion of many Buddhas is directed at the world's betterment and happiness. It is essential, but very difficult, to understand that practice and devotion. But though it is easy to lead this ignorant existence, human beings don't understand that one day we must leave this uncertain world and go with the Lord of Death. Our long attachments with friends and family will dissolve into nothingness. We have to leave behind the wealth and property we have accumulated. What's the use of my happiness, when those who have loved me from the beginning, my mother, father, brothers, relatives are all unhappy? Therefore, to rescue all sentient beings, I have to be Buddha-mind, and emerge from my underground cave to do vajra meditation. To do this I have to realize the right path and knowledge, so do not disturb my practice. My practice detaches me from my body, my soul and this existence.
In this situation there will be 72 goddess Kalis. Different gods will be present, along with the sounds of thunder and of "tangur", and all the celestial gods and goddesses will be doing puja (worship). So until I have sent a message, do not come here, and please explain this to others. Spread spiritual knowledge and spiritual messages throughout the world. Spread the message of world peace to all. Seek a righteous path and wisdom will be yours."
Second Speech Excerpt:
"Prayers of Kunchu Suma - message of peace for all living creatures and for the spiritual prosperity of humankind. Salutations to all religious seekers, saints, religions and all organizations. After I was commanded by the trinity of God to save and uplift humankind and the creatures of the world, I have abided by the promise to save the ephemeral world from the ocean of emotions and to free the world from the worldly sins. I have been contemplating single-mindedly to free humankind and all living creatures. All sentinent beings want to get freed from wordly sorrows and pains. But by birth, they are not equipped as humankind to seek after spirituality and get freed. They are also praying to God. They are happy to be in this world. Humankind are creating traditions that will destroy the entire humanity and living creatures. In the name of religion, killings, violence, anger, jealousy and divisions are being promoted. There is only one God; God has one form; the souls of all humans are the same, only the tradition and customs are different. Always embrace the path of mercy, compassion, non-violence, peace; this is the message I want to convey to our society and to all the citizens of the world. A true religion, the true human religion, will always search for truth. The search for truth is the only beneficial way of humans. Despite the existence of thousands of paths, chaos, greed, attatchment, anger and jealousy have imprisoned our society and humankind. In this way the world is heading towards destruction. So, it is high time that the citizens of the world must think about it. Humans should never forget their ultimate religious duty and their society. Refrain from killings, violence, greed, jealousy, attatchments and evil character. Shed the tears of mercy and compassion; show to the world the way of salvation. After we die it is extremely difficult to get back a human life. Everyone thinks that we don't reincarnate after death. No, we receive a human life due to our virtuous work. We earn the fruits due to the merits of our work. Now the world is governed by three forms. The first form is greed; the second form is anger; third form is attatchment and jealousy that are ruling this world. May all the religious traditions change. All the religious people need to first find the Truth, and by cultivating mercy, compassion, non-violence, and peace in their hearts, they need to beautify the world with the way of salvation. I will continue to contemplate and meditate for the salvation of living beings by being focused in my path of wisdom until I find the ultimate form of enlightenment, the Samyak Sambodhi. Salute to the ultimate form of enlightenment and may peace be with everyone."
GOD: This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.
ME: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something.
GOD: What are you busy at?
ME: Don't know. But I can't find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the time.
GOD: Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results. Activity consumes time. Productivity frees it.
ME: I understand. But I still can't figure out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.
GOD: Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.
ME: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
GOD: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.
ME: Why are we then constantly unhappy?
GOD: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.
ME: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?
GOD: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.
ME: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty.
GOD: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.
ME: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?
GOD: Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life become better not bitter.
Me: You mean to say such experience is useful?
GOD: Yes. In every terms, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.
ME: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can't we be free from problems?
GOD: Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Inner Strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.
ME: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading...
GOD: If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.
ME: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?
GOD: Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.
ME: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
GOD: Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.
ME: What surprises you about people?
GOD: when they suffer they ask, "why me?" When they prosper, they never ask "Why me" Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side of the truth.
ME: Sometimes I ask, who am I? Why am I here? I can't get the answer.
GOD: Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.
ME: How can I get the best out of life?
GOD: Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.
ME: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
GOD: There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO.
ME: Thank you for this wonderful chat. I am so happy to start the New Day with a new sense of inspiration.
GOD: Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.
Two Men in a Hospital Room « Result #12 Yesterday at 3:45pm »
Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.
One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.
His bed was next to the room’s only window.
The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.
The men talked for hours on end.
They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.
Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.
The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.
Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.
As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.
One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by.
Although the other man could not hear the band - he could see it in his mind’s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.
Days, weeks and months passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.
As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.
Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed.
It faced a blank wall.
The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.
The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.
She said, “Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.”
Remember: There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.

Thanks Rossa, Julie and Marie.....unconditional love is something that I think we all strive for...hopefully to accept others for who they are. The symbolism in the story is what touched me...the father gave his only son to the war.....and God gave His only Son to die for us...
Christmas Advents « Result #16 on Nov 30, 2009, 11:11pm »
I thought that it might interest some of you to know the history concerning the Christian tradition of celebrating The Advents. The first advent is recognized the fourth Sunday before Christmas.(This typically kicks off the Christmas season )The first advent is symbolic of the first time that the coming of the Messiah was prophesied,it was through the Old Testament prophet, Isaiah. The second advent is the third Sunday before Christmas. It represents when Mary was visited by Archangel Gabriel and was told that she would become the mother of the Messiah. The third advent is the second Sunday before Christmas. It represents when the shepherds were in the field and were visited by an angel that announced," I bring you good tidings of great joy and peace and goodwill to all men".This also was another prophetic announcement that the Messiah was coming. The fourth advent is the first Sunday before Christmas. It represents when the Magi were told by an angel to "follow the star" and this would lead them to the Messiah which was soon to be born. Personally,I always thought that this is a charming way to celebrate the entire Christmas season. Christmas means different things to different people but at the very least it is a reminder for us to love GOD and each other with our entire beings. I've heard it said that there is a Christmas spirit and Christmas angels that come to the Earth to spread energies of Light and Love during this festive season. That may be one reason why we seem to feel it strongly during the celebration of the Advents. Let's try our best to keep this lovely spirit going on all year long.We are ONE ,all part of a great WHOLE.Since we are interdependent, interconnected and interrelated,as we love others,we love ourselves.

Another heart-warming story,Rossa!I especially loved the quote at the end,"We're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments. But great moments often catch us unaware - beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one."I've found this to be so true. This reminds me of another great quote,"Sometimes we've entertained angels unawares."

What a beautiful & symbolic story! What the others didn't realize is his son's painting was far greater than any Van Gogh or Rembrandt painting. He wanted his worldly possessions to be at least with someone who valued his son's memory.

The ending will surprise you.
A wealthy mand and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.
Whe the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.
About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands. He said, "Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art." The young man held out this package. "I know this isn't much. I'm not a really great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this."
The father opened the package. It was a protrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. "Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift."
The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home, he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed the many other great works he had collected.
The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.
On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. "We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?"
There was silence...
Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, "We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one." But the auctioneer persisted. "Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?"
Another voice said angrily..."We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandt's. Get on with the Real bids!!"
But still the auctioneer continued. "The son! The son! Who'll take the son?"
Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longime gardener for the man and his son. "I'll give $10 for the painting." Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.
"We have $10, who will bid $20?"
"Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters!!" The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son. The wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.
The auctioneer pounded his gavel. "Going once, twice....SOLD for $10."
The man sitting on the second row shouted, "Now, let's get on with the collection!"
The auctioneer laid down his gavel. "I'm sorry, the auction is over."
"What about the paintings?!"
"I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings."
"The man who took the son gets everything!"
God gave His Son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: "The Son, The Son...who'll take the Son?"
Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAME HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON; WHOSEVER BELIEVETH SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE............ THAT'S LOVE.

The Cab Ride « Result #23 on Nov 30, 2009, 7:28pm »
Hi Friends, once again I wanted to share how little things can be great moments!
The Cab Ride
"Twenty years ago, I drove a cab for a living. It was a cowboy's life, a life for someone who wanted no boss. Because I drove the night shift, my cab became a moving confessional. Passengers climbed in, sat behind me in total anonymity, and told me about their lives. I encountered people whose lives amazed me, ennobled me, made me laugh and weep. But none touched me more than a woman I picked up late one August night.
I was responding to a call from a small brick fourplex in a quiet part of town. I assumed I was being sent to pick up some partiers, or someone who had just had a fight with a lover, or a worker heading to an early shift at some factory for the industrial part of town. When I arrived at 2:30 a.m., the building was dark except for a single light in a ground floor window.
Under such circumstances, many drivers would just honk once or twice, wait a minute, then drive away. But I had seen too many impoverished people who depended on taxis as their only means of transportation. Unless a situation smelled of danger, I always went to the door. This passenger might be someone who needs I disagreeistance, I reasoned to myself. So I walked to the door and knocked.
"Just a minute", answered a frail, elderly voice. I could hear something being dragged across the floor. After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 80s stood before me. She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940s movie. By her side was a small nylon suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets. There were no clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils on the counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and glassware.
"Would you carry my bag out to the car?" she said. I took the suitcase to the cab, then returned to assist the woman. She took my arm and we walked slowly toward the curb. She kept thanking me for my kindness. "It's nothing", I told her. "I just try to treat my passengers the way I would want my mother treated".
"Oh, you're such good boy", she said. When we got in the cab, she gave me an address, then asked, "Can you drive through downtown?"
"It's not the shortest way," I answered quickly. "Oh, I don't mind," she said. "I'm in no hurry. I'm on my way to a hospice". I looked in the rearview mirror. Her eyes were glistening. "I don't have any family left," she continued. "The doctor says I don't have very long."
I quietly reached over and shut off the meter. "What route would you like me to take?" I asked. For the next two hours, we drove through the city. She showed me the building where she had once worked as an elevator operator. We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived when they were newlyweds. She had me pull up in front of a furniture warehouse that had once been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a girl. Sometimes she'd ask me to slow in front of a particular building or corner and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing.
As the first hint of sun was creasing the horizon, she suddenly said, "I'm tired. Let's go now." We drove in silence to the address she had given me. It was a low building, like a small convalescent home, with a driveway that passed under a portico. Two orderlies came out to the cab as soon as we pulled up. They were solicitous and intent, watching her every move. They must have been expecting her. I opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to the door. The woman was already seated in a wheelchair.
"How much do I owe you?" she asked, reaching into her purse.
"Nothing," I said.
"You have to make a living," she answered.
"There are other passengers," I responded. Almost without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug. She held onto me tightly.
"You gave an old woman a little moment of joy," she said. "Thank you." I squeezed her hand, then walked into the dim morning light. Behind me, a door shut. It was the sound of the closing of a life. I didn't pick up any more passengers that shift. I drove aimlessly, lost in thought.
For the rest of that day, I could hardly talk. What if that woman had gotten an angry driver, or one who was impatient to end his shift? What if I had refused to take the run, or had honked once, then driven away? On a quick review, I don't think that I have done anything more important in my life.
We're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments. But great moments often catch us unaware - beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a "small one."

Hi Siim, It's nice to see you on the boards. I'm glad that you've been enjoying the chat room too,Siim.I look forward to having other chats with you there. GOD bless Grace
Hi Jackie, firstly I wrote the following words some years ago, they may be of help in the question you ask.
Life is about accepting and understanding other people’s behaviour.
It is alien to some people to accept in others what they cannot accept in themselves. But it causes far less pain to learn acceptance of issues that trouble you, as life has a habit of throwing up what you least like to happen or have most trouble in accepting.
Acceptance is the key to not having these troubles sent your way, as acceptance erodes away the fear of all the worries of life that befall you.
You ask how you can be more open and not afraid of the psychic side of your life that is evolving. Where there is light or knowledge there is understanding and no fear. It is hard to see in the dark and the conclusions you come to can often be false.
Shining light on the darkness will allow you to see in clarity. Gaining more knowledge about the subjects that you question here will only bring more clarity.
I myself am not afraid of any psychic phenomena, because I have educated my mind and also experienced things that have only made me stronger. The spirit world is not scarey it is beautiful. Come and jump into the waters of tranquillity, you will enjoy it, more than you think.
Leon, these are words of wisdom..so beautifully written and so inspiring thanks for writing.

Hello Diane,
We also have that saying in my country and I think it is worldwide really. I did ask once long time ago..and the answer that was given to me was that in the beginning we are one with our Creator and we are send on down to earth as a sort of test...As we live our lives and die..we either do better than the last one, if you believe in reincarnation that is, and depending on how you live those lives you are nearer to the perfection we are supposed to return to. Mothers mourn their babies who die soon after they are born or young children taken at a short age...same with good people. They said these souls only needed to be a short time in this valley of sorrows to reach their perfection and therefore return in glory to their maker, never having to be born again, or going through the suffering that we all go through as humans.
I dont really know whether this makes any sense to you or anyone but it does make the pain of that loss much bearable, dont you think?

That's really cool what you just said,Di about "angels in human form".That reminds me of something I heard Oprah Winfrey say on her talk show one day. She was talking about the bereaved and referring to loved ones that have passed over.To comfort the bereaved, she said,"Now you have an angel that you know."

hello to all,, only God can heal that pain, my support goes to you Alynn, and Grace, i am sure you will find the courage to carry on, in their short time absence, i think we all need to prepare ourselves for that inevitable day,, in my culture,, there is saying that the good people die young ( they are known to be angels in human form),,, well i wouldnt say those who live and die old are not good people ( ie Mother Teresa ) ,, i have recognised it my self,, many extra ordinary people go very soon,, why? dont know.
A Divine Meeting « Result #37 on Nov 29, 2009, 5:49pm »
According to information that had been revealed from the Beings of Light, there was a major celestial event that took place on our planet during the middle of Aug/87.Through the unified efforts of awakened Lightworkers from all over the world and the entire Company of Heaven, the Crystal Grid System of Light on Earth was activated. This caused all life evolving on Gaia(Mother Earth) as well as Gaia herself to ascend in energy, vibration and consciousness to our next level of Divine Service. There was a large awakening of the collective Human cup of consciousness that took place because of that event and it had been noted by many. The Pentecostals called it the "Holy Spirit Revival of the late eighties".Many of the Lightworkers that sensed their personal awakenings at that time became very hungry spiritually. They wanted to develop their relationship and connection to GOD or Source. They felt driven to find out what their personal life purpose was. Many also became serious about finding out more about how they could contribute to helping others and making the world a better place to live in. The mighty Elohim(the Builders of Form) created a New Earth which was superimposed over the old Earth, this began our 25 year ascent into the 5th dimension.According to the ancient Mayan calendar and the Company of Heaven, this process will be completed on Dec 21/12.The official beginning of the Golden Age or Age of Aquarius or Age of Enlightenment. It is called different names by different circles. The reason being that this new age marks the beginning of our favourable galactic position since we'll be closer to the Grand Central Sun(not our physical Sun). The closer we are to the Grand Central Sun or the Solar Logos of the Central Sun,the easier it is for us to remember our connection to Source and expand in our conscious awareness as we are closer to this Divine Light where Alpha and Omega reside. Alpha and Omega represent Father/ Mother GOD in our galaxy.(Please refer to my previous post entitled "The Photon Band"). Even Nasa will confirm that they have noted that we seem to be approaching a source of great light that they couldn't explain. In the past 25 years or so,they have been monitoring our galactic movements in the Universe and have observed that we seem to be approaching an unusual light source. In Aug/02,all of the unawakened souls who were in danger of not making the shift into the fifth dimension, were taken in their Solar Light Bodies(while they slept at night) to the Solar Logos of the Central Sun.Most volunteered happily to attend this very important meeting with Alpha and Omega. Some went to it just out of curiousity and a even less went to the meeting out of fear but had agreed to attend ,at least.(You must remember that this would'nt have occurred on a conscious level.) The wayward souls were given one last opportunity to move into the Light. In an awesome moment of Divine Grace, every single soul volunteered to do what is necessary to move into the Light and focus on their personal life missions. The unanimous vote had established a new covenant with Alpha and Omega.A great Cosmic Note was sounded. This enabled the Builders of Form to breathe the old Earth over a glorious Bridge of Light into the frequencies of the New Earth. The two Earth's merged and became one.A new Divine Plan was set into motion to prepare every evolving soul on the planet for the fast-approaching global shift of consciousness. Since the decision of the wayward souls was made within their Higher Selves and was not on a conscious level,it takes time for that understanding to filter into their conscious awareness. Obviously, some people are still acting out their resistance to the Light and are still intent on causing chaos on the physical plane of Earth. Some rebellious spirits may need to have more life experiences of a particular kind that would teach, awaken and prepare them to resign their lives to serve their Divine purpose or Highest Good.I've heard it said that since this vital Celestial meeting had taken place, that the Beings of Light had said that a great number of souls have shown tremendous improvement, less than that have displayed at least some improvement and even less than that have shown no improvement at all.Let's continue to pray and meditate for these recalcitrant brothers and sisters. We can help them best by being a sterling example of what they should desire to become on the conscious surface as well as their true inward Divine identity that is sleeping .The best way to do this is by displaying Unconditional Love. The most powerful force in the Universe. It's not always easy,of course, but our good intentions and display of love for our precious brothers and sisters will make a huge, positive difference on our planet. We are all growing, remembering and learning this together, aren't we? The miracle of the two Earths becoming one, greatly increased the work the Lightworkers must now accomplish. The Lightworkers must now assist in transmuting the densest energies on Earth. These are the discordant energies that were destined to be left behind on the old Earth if the vote hadn't been unanimous for the merging of the two Earths.Since then, the patterns of perfection are being pushed to the surface to be transmuted and healed. This is one reason why in some ways,it seems like we haven't made that much improvement as the collective cup of Humanity. As the transmutation phase continues, things seem to be getting worse but that's just an illusion. The Beings of Light have recently said not to worry. We are making progress and the Divine Will of GOD is unfolding. Since the two Earths have become One,even our most rebellious and wayward brothers and sisters are ascending with us.It is vital that we assist them in their awakening though.Their negative energies must be transmuted. Also,as long as they continue in their rebellion, they produce even more negative energy that must be transmuted. We have the ability to act as surrogates for these precious ones that have lost their way.As we are lifted up,they are lifted up with us.This requires the participation of the critical mass or majority of Lightworkers though. The main thing is for us to just do the best that we can as individuals in spreading Love and Light. You may think that your participation won't make that much difference but it certainly does as we touch one life at a time and they in turn, influence ours. Once the archetypes of the initial descent of human consciousness are tranmuted and healed, this will enable the new, previously unknown frequencies of Divine Consciousness to be eternally established here on Earth. The collective cup of Humanity will be permanently lifted into the Highest Levels of Divine Consciousness that is allowed by Universal Law.Never again will the Sons and Daughters of GOD descend to the depths of human miscreation we experienced on the Earth after "The Fall". Since unawakened Humanity has difficulty grasping the concept of the Oneness of All Life,it's up to the awakened Lightworkers to help to heal the negative polarization. This is because what affects one part of Life affects all parts, even if we aren't aware of this on a conscious level.Anything that is in Creation has consciousness.Everything that has consciousness is interconnected, interrelated and interdependent as well.Take for instance the Heavenly Bodies.Humanity is influenced tremendously by the Celestial Bodies in our Universe.Astrology has already confirmed that.Changes are activated within each of us during the Earth's alignment with Suns,Planets,Moons,Comets,Meterors,Solstices,Equinoxes,Eclipses and other Celestial events.Once the changes occur within us,they radiate out from the Divinity of our hearts to make an impact on the world and the Cosmos. We can pay attention to upcoming Celestial events, lunar , solar cycles and planetary alignments, and learn what they mean.We can then apply the appropriate directives that will work to our advantage during these windows of opportunity to assist Gaia as well as ourselves during this ascension process. As we take the power of our attention away from the illusion of separation and focus it on the vision of Heaven on Earth,we can invoke the power of GOD into our situations and surroundings and transmute the negativity associated with it.Then through our own Powers of Creation,we can envision what we wish to have in it's place. A powerful affirmation that may be vocally acclaimed daily:(Remember that your spoken words are extremely powerful) " I AM the Resurrection and the Life of the Immaculate Concept of Limitless Physical Perfection in ALL physical, etheric, mental and emotional Bodies on Earth as well as in ALL of the Cosmos, now made manifest and permanently sustained by Holy Grace, as I invoke the Power and Love of Father/Mother GOD,Holy LORD GOD of the Most High. I AM I AM I AM.So it is.It is done.

I'm glad that the poem was some comfort to you,Alynn.I've lost a loved one too so I can identify with how difficult it has been for you. I still love this person that I lost very much. What brings me comfort even now is the wonderful memories I have of being with him.Even more of a comfort to me is the fact that I have a place for him that will always live in my heart. Whenever I think of him,I touch my heart and feel his presense there. It's also wonderful to know that he's happy where he is and one day we'll be reunited again.

New Alphabet A is for apple, and B is for boat, That used to be right, but now it won't float! Age before beauty is what we once said, But let's be a bit more realistic instead.
Now The Alphabet:
A's for arthritis; B's the bad back, C's the chest pains, perhaps car-d-iac?
D is for dental decay and decline, E is for eyesight, can't read that top line! F is for fissures and fluid retention, G is for gas which I'd rather not mention.
H . high blood pressure--I'd rather it low; I . for incisions with scars you can show. J is for joints, out of socket, won't mend, K is for knees that crack when they bend. L for libido, what happened to sex? M is for memory, I forget what comes next. N is neuralgia, in nerves way down low; O is for osteo, bones that don't grow!
P for prescriptions, I have quite a few, just give me a pill and I'll be good as new! Q is for queasy, is it fatal or flu? R is for reflux, one meal turns to two.
S is for sleepless nights, counting my fears, T is for Tinnitus; bells in my ears! U is for urinary; troubles with flow; V for vertigo, that's 'dizzy,' you know.
W for worry, N OW what's going 'round? X is for X ray, and what might be found. Y for another year I'm left here behind, Z is for zest I still have-- in my mind.

Thanks, Julie...I know that I am one of those people, searching, searching for peace. I believe that it is coming to my heart, the more that I think of the richness of the life thay my daughter is now living in Heaven....and the knowledge that she still lives...and that I will see her again when it is my turn to cross over.
No one was more surprised than I to see the sun rise the day after Jen left us; and it has continued to rise each day; the same as the love never dies, but goes on and on, season after season. This knowledge brings peace to my heart.
I love the picture that you included. The lighthouse stands fast despite the stormy seas that we have to endure and the Savior is ever-ready to catch us in His everlasting arms. I will keep the Faith and in the end....finish the race.

Re: Letter to God « Result #48 on Nov 28, 2009, 8:46pm »
Let me just make one point. How often do we really ask for forgiveness? Not very often will probably be your answer, so this is not a daily thing, just something done once in a while. Maybe once in several years or even more.
The same applies to the so called abuser. This probably does not happen on a daily basis, unless you live in a war torn country or you are being abused daily. So for most of us when we offer forgiveness or ask for God or anyone to forgive us, it is not very frequent at all. Unless you have forgiveness on the brain
So let's just look at the subject from afar, there is nothing wrong in forgiveness, as I said it is one of the most spiritual and loving acts someone can do.
Like most philosophical and spiritual subjects, we can blow everything out of proportion, people offer analogies to explain something. Next you find someone trying to pull the words of another to pieces.
What I see here as in most posts is a mix of analogies, a mix of real life pain or joys and maybe a little poetic license. So please take all this on board when reading through and thinking about any subject matter.

Hi Markings,
The last verse was
Dear God, I promise I'll be good today, Forgive the errors on the way I’m only human after all For that you must forgive me.
Well, at least my poem has generated quite a few interesting and meaningful answers so in the end it was worth the effort.
By asking forgiveness from God for being human is ....that even if we make every earnest effort to take the right path in our lives and not to do anything that is wrong again...we possibly might fall again...that is why the emphasis on our lowly humanity. They do say Man is the only animal on earth that will trip over a stone twice.
You say "I suspect the things labelled human here really refers to the inhuman things we sometimes do."
Sometimes our suspicions are reflections of our own nature.
I was more thinking of it in a more innocent way. Like when a child is admonished by his mother for being naughty and promises to be good...he might not want to be ...he promises and believes he wont be....but he probably will be at some moment of his life. I wasnt talking of crimes or anything major and unpardonable ..
....( for silly deeds and thoughtless times)...just little things..like for example being unkind, or thoughtless, things said that, maybe without thinking, might cause hurt to somebody more than you had envisaged ,for nobody knows what may be ailing those people you might hurt by those same careless words or deeds.
I hope I have been understood now. I also have a motto which as a human being I try very hard to keep to. If you dont have anything kind to say...say nothing. I hope this is taken in the positive spirit it is meant.
Re: Letter to God « Result #54 on Nov 28, 2009, 1:15pm »
Hi Kaz, Leon,
I have no disagreement with being humble and asking for forgiveness of our misdeeds. These are thing we do and can change, in contrast to 'being human' which is what we are and cannot change. What is the point of asking for forgiveness about something we cannot do anything about?
Simply apologising for being human does not give us any greater clarity about how real human-ness should or would express itself. I suggest that without answering this question it may even make matters worse because having asked for forgiveness and received it, the field is now clear to do it again, and then blame our 'being human' one more time.
Daddy's Poem « Result #55 on Nov 28, 2009, 9:33am »
I found this in my inbox and thought I would share with you.:)
Daddy's Poem
Her hair was up in a pony tail, Her favourite dress tied with a bow. Today was Daddy's Day at school, And she couldn't wait to go.
But her mommy tried to tell her, That she probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand, If she went to school alone.
But she was not afraid; She knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates Of why he wasn't there today.
But still her mother worried, For her to face this day alone. And that was why once again, She tried to keep her daughter home.
But the little girl went to school Eager to tell them all. About a dad she never sees A dad who never calls. There were daddies along the wall in back, For everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, Anxious in their seats
One by one the teacher called A student from the class. To introduce their daddy, As seconds slowly passed.
At last the teacher called her name, Every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching, A man who wasn't there.
'Where's her daddy at?' She heard a boy call out. 'She probably doesn't have one,' Another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back, She heard a daddy say, 'Looks like another deadbeat dad, Too busy to waste his day.'
The words did not offend her, As she smiled up at her Mom. And looked back at her teacher, Who told her to go on. And with hands behind her back, Slowly she began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, Came words incredibly unique.
'My Daddy couldn't be here, Because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, Since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know. All about my daddy, And how much he loves me so.
He loved to tell me stories He taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, And taught me to fly a kite.
We used to share fudge sundaes, And ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him. I'm not standing here alone.
'Cause my daddy's always with me, Even though we are apart I know because he told me, He'll forever be in my heart' With that, her little hand reached up, And lay across her chest. Feeling her own heartbeat, Beneath her favorite dress. And from somewhere there in the crowd of dads Her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter, Who was wise beyond her years.
For she stood up for the love Of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, Doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand back down, Staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft, But its message clear and loud.
'I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, But heaven's just too far.
You see he is a British soldier And died just this past year When a roadside bomb hit his convoy And taught Britain to fear. But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away.' And then she closed her eyes, And saw him there that day.
And to her mothers amazement, She witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, All starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they saw before them, Who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, They saw him at her side.
'I know you're with me Daddy,' To the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, Of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it, For each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside her, Was a fragrant long-stemmed rose.
And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, By the love of her shining star. And given the gift of believing, That heaven is never too far.
Take the time...to live and love. Until eternity. God bless! Anonymous

Hi Grace,
Thank you for answering my post I am glad you liked it and yes I do believe that having a concience is tantamount to having an angel whispering in our ear. We all hear that little voice we call our concience but sometimes choose to ignore it. We would all benefit from making acts of contrition such as the above once in a whiile. Our fault might just be a little one, but it is good to reflect and correct our shortcomings and ask forgiveness for them.

There has been some talk lately in the chat room about the bereaved. Some of our Godlight friends are going through this difficult period right now as they struggle to cope with the loss of loved ones.I hope that this lovely poem written by Helen Steiner Rice will be of some comfort to those that are needing it at this present time:
After the clouds, the sunshine, after the winter, the spring, after the shower, the rainbow, for life is a changeable thing.
After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease, after life's cares and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace.

Re: Letter to God « Result #65 on Nov 27, 2009, 5:16pm »
Beautiful words Marie. It takes courage to be honest with ourself & even greater courage to share our own failings & insights with others. This shows that you are growing inside it is easy to say the words I forgive, but to mean it from the bottom of your heart is what gives power to your forgiveness, inturn it is a letting go.
Is it easier to forgive ourselves or someone else? Forgiving ourself, basically we are saying we are only human, please God give me another chance to do better next time.
By forgiving another, we are breaking the ties of hatred or anger & giving them another chance to do better next time. Only by giving people chances do we enable people to evolve into better people.
If we have to take ourself away from the so called perpetrators company until you feel a balance has been rectified, there is no harm in that.
If we have to keep ourselves away from situations or people that made us do something unforgivable, there is nothing wrong with that either. In the space we make in-between we create a time where we can reflect in solitude the misgivings of all.
Hopefully after this rest however short or long we can come back to ourselves or others, ready to love again after removing the stigma attached to the wrong doings of all us sentient beings.
The following words are for Markings and I hope you read. If you are unwilling to apologize for your own wrong doings, you therefore are in a state unable to apologize or forgive others for their wrong doings. The biggest act of love is to forgive and if you can not even forgive yourself for being human, how can you have the capacity to love another human being.
If you want a lonely spiritual path, you must take that path, but by excluding yourself from interacting with other fellow travelers, you lose the capacity to learn and inturn be a teacher yourself. At the moment you are teaching in the poorest way, and that is how not to be.
Reading your words Marie, reminded me of words that I wrote myself. I am not placing them here to take anything away from your words, as yours are beautiful and come from the heart. I place them here in the hope that all can share their burden just as you have done.
I am only human made of flesh and bones, as are all of you. I feel pain and joy as you all do. The scars of life I boldly wear.
Sometimes I am lost for answers, just as the man next to me is. Sometimes my cross is too much to bear. At times like this I need to sit and rest, for the path is not always easy, when you find yourself on uneven ground.
I chose this path, just the same as everyone reading these words. If I fail for a time, I should not hold shame. For I am only human and are bound to make mistakes, though I am also bound to this path.
I seek the light, as you all do, to brighten sky's that become dark. Night passes daily to light, so rest assure, when I see my darkness, light will surely follow. I am only human bound to the cycles of time.
One day the cross I bear will find a home, I can leave it on a mountain top. Leave it as a beacon for all others that follow the true path.

Hello Marie, i am thankful to you ,, for your time you took to write such a heartfelt sincere poem, of forgiveness and our surrender to our God. I love those words, i might say sometimes we find it hard to admit the wounds and hurts we cause to ourselves or to others,, only God knows the pure hearts of his children, he knows our pure souls and intentions. I believe in Him, in his justice, and i also know he resides in each one of his divine beings he's created, it's only through Love and by Love that we can know Him. I also love those words from Jesus. they lift me up always when i read them.
Stay blessed and I look forward to reading your posts. Di.

Thanks for this Mars...as always thought provoking... The fact that our souls have decided and chosen to incarnate here on Earth is something that needs no apology to God. There is no harder 'college' than a life on Earth and anything and everything is hard for a soul to learn here. Apologising and asking forgiveness whilst here is something for the soul themselves not for God I agree. He knows as well as your soul that you DECIDED to do these things that you are apologising for and so it negates it in some way. Its so hard for me to explain but my elloquance should get better. and as an after thought.... we are ALL blessed but most of us dont realise it. Dont they see wa all have wings???? AManda (in a thought provoked mood now....hmmmm......)
One afternoon as I was running errands and trying meet deadlines, this song played on the radio. I couldn't help to stop the car and listen as tears started to rolled down my face. What a simple yet touching song.

Dear Karen and Rossa,
Thank you for your reply. I thank you especially Karen for understanding the true meaning of my post. We are, most of us thankfully, only human and recognizing our trespasses as in Our Lords Prayer, is a sign of humility, we are after all only human and we err along the way. We must endeavour though to find it in our hearts to forgive all those that trespass against us,ourselves included. I leave you with that thought. Love and Light to all men of good will.
And seeing the multitudes he went up into the Mountains and when he was seated, his discipies came unto him and opening his mouth he taught them saying:
Blessed are the pure in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of the Heavens Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the land. Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justness for they shall have their fill Blessed are the merciful for they shall find mercy. Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called Children of God. Blessed are they that have suffered persecution for justness's sake for theirs is the Kingdom of the Heavens. Hi Marie,
A lovely post and very heartfelt, I am sure many of us have been there, I know I have.
Markings, I understand what you mean and you are right but you are looking it at from a higher perspective. Being human is not anything to apologise for nor should we, but an aspect of being human is humility. Recognising our own shortcomings and not being too proud to admit it.
Part of growing as a human being is recognising those parts of ourselves that do not make us or those around us happy. It isn't right to lie, cheat, steal from someone, assault someone, be cruel and uncaring without thought or consequence. Lack of emotional growth, often results in these attributes running amok within our personalities. The steps forward for someone who has acted in this way and realises at last the damage that it has done is immense.
For many the ritual attached in the form of spoken repentance and the asking for forgiveness is as much a speaking out loud to themselves as it is to their God. It is a self confession, asking for self forgiveness in supplication to their own higher self just as much as it is to their creator. As Rossa has said, many souls find it hard to forgive themselves.
Simply said, what is being done is that the supplicant is making a pure and positive affirmation to wipe the slate clean and to start afresh. Not something to be sifted through and overanalysed. Many do not live in the higher perspective they live in the now, because the now at this point in their own spiritual path is simply where they are at.

Hiya Marie
This reminds me of the saying that Forgiveness is the perfume a flower leaves on the heel that crushed it. Sometimes even if God has forgiven us, we sometimes don't forgive ourselves. I believe God doesn’t forgive us because he has to. He forgives us because he wants to. He forgives us because He loves us!

I have serious problems with apologising for being human. What else are we supposed to be?
I suspect the things labelled human here really refers to the inhuman things we sometimes do. However, it raises the issue of how to manage our animalistic and instinctual nature. Asking for forgiveness for its presence seems retrogressive rather than a step forward.

Letter to God
I’m only Human after all, For that I beg forgiveness My mission isn’t yet divine, I still can’t see the wings behind, Just silly deeds and thoughtless times But I am Human after all, For that I beg forgiveness. ~~~~~~ But, I do have one quality, Of which I can be proud, I analyse myself a lot, My head is in no cloud, And when I have done something wrong, No friend or foe can cheer me For I would look askew at them, For trying to blind fold me. I’d rather sit, reflect and storm that I'm only human after all For that you must forgive me. ~~~~~~~~ My conscience is my own best friend It will conduct me in the end To see the errors in my trend And humbly beg of you......... My real real Friend
Dear God, I promise I'll be good today, Forgive the errors on the way I’m only human after all For that you must forgive me.
Signed: Maria One more repentant sinner with feet firmly planted on the ground. Copyrighted and Registered To God.

Hi Julie,
Since you did my last reading I feel things are starting to change for me! My health is definitely improving and today I got out of the house properly and went shopping alone! Woohoo! I wondered if you might do a follow-up whenever you get a chance with sacred rose or angel card - whichever you feel is appropriate at the time!

Hi Friends
I wanted to share this story to remind us that we should never under-estimate how we can touch the lives of others no matter how insignifiant we may think it may be. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. ~Aesop
The Power Of Your Actions by Unknown
One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd." I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friend the following afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.
As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes.
My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him, and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, I saw a tear in his eye.
I handed him his glasses and said, "Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives."
He looked at me and said, "Hey, thanks!" There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. It turned out he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before coming to this school.
I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play football on Saturday with me and my friends. He said yes. We hung all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him. And my friends thought the same of him. Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, "Damn boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!". He just laughed and handed me half the books. Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends.
When we were seniors, we began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship. Kyle was valedictorian of our class.
I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak.
Graduation day arrived - I saw Kyle and he looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than me and all the girls loved him!
Boy, sometimes I was jealous. Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!"
He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. "Thanks," he said. As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began. "Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach... but mostly your friends. I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story."
I stared at my friend in disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile. "Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."
I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize its depth.
Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life. For better or for worse. God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one another in some way. Look for God in others.

Hi Amanda,
I agree with you totally, the diversity of people who want to grow and develop is amazing, but also how wonderfully alike we all are. The fundamental questions we all ask are nearly always the same ones. "Who are we, where do we come from and what is our purpose on earth? How can we become all that we were meant to be, how can we fulfill our life's purpose and reach our full potential. How do I make that connection with the divine? "
Sharing with other like minded souls is always a rich a heartwarming experience for me, people from all walks of life, sharing a common bond that crosses any cultural divide. I love the way spirituality is not segregated in a way that religion at times can be. It is simply a drive, compulsion toward growing in heart mind, body and soul.
I agree with you, it does change us on the deepest levels. This openness and eagerness to learn about the universe, God and a real desire to learn about the spiritual growth and idea's of others is wonderful. The more we learn the more we realise how little we really know and the more we want to learn more. It is a way of being that touches every aspect of our lives and never fails to enrich us.
A great post, thank you for sharing your words and the words of Robert C Fuller.

Hello all I was thinking today about the whole field of spiritualty and the diversity of what a person feels they need to know. As a path I have recently begun to walk I am amazed how my mind, and others I know of beginning the same path, opens up so much and seems like a sponge.... soaking in the probablity and intensity of ... well....love. Minor things seem to change as you feel them and subjects once irritating are now calmer... I noticed this quote as I read the several tomes I have and it seemed so appropriate to where we are .... I have often found myself filled with 'grace' as I watch something simple, and I am beginngin to allow myself to stay there rather than...shrugging and carrying on. This I feel could be a good topic for discussion in the chat room sometime. Love, Light and blessed be Amanda (Drags) xx
"""Robert C. Fuller : Spirituality exists wherever we struggle with the issue of how our lives fit into the greater cosmic scheme of things. This is true even when our questions never give way to specific answers or give rise to specific practices such as prayer or meditation. We encounter spiritual issues every time we wonder where the universe comes from, why we are here, or what happens when we die. We also become spiritual when we become moved by values such as beauty, love, or creativity that seem to reveal a meaning or power beyond our visible world. An idea or practice is "spiritual" when it reveals our personal desire to establish a felt-relationship with the deepest meanings or powers governing life."""

I was reading one of Mother Teresa's books yesterday and she talks of re-incanation & spiritual healing. Even though she was part of the Catholic Church, this shows that she had her own mind. She was was open minded to all beliefs.
All she wanted to do was take care of the poor and sick and spread love throughout the world. God bless her soul.

People are unreasonable, illogical & self-centred, LOVE THEM ANYWAY words by Mother Teresa
Do we not see that every day, one persons thoughts not matching our own. Selfishness rising in people for illogical reasons. People can be hard to fathom out, but we do not live in their shoes, and we have not gone through their experience, that make them the person they are.
Sometimes we need to put all this to one side and just send out love, we may not really love their actions and what they stand for.
We can love them for being a fellow traveler in this life and hope that one day some of their rough edges become smoother, so that we can resonate with them a little more.
So practice a little divine love and forgive them for not being perfect as neither are you.
Yesterday, Today and Tommorow « Result #98 on Nov 25, 2009, 3:11pm »
Yesterday, Today and Tommorrow by Unknown
There are two days in every week that we should not worry about, two days that should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One is yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed, forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed. Nor can we erase a single word we've said - yesterday is gone!
The other day we shouldn't worry about is tomorrow, with its impossible adversaries, its burden, its hopeful promise and poor performance. Tomorrow is beyond our control.
Tomorrow's sun will rise either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds - but it will rise. And until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.
This leaves only one day - today. Any person can fight the battles of just one day. It is only when we add the burdens of yesterday and tomorrow that we break down.
It is not the experience of today that drives people mad - it is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday, and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
